Welcome back stampers! I hope you’re having a good week so far. This week I’m working hard getting ready for a craft show at my local high school. I’ll have some handmade cards for sale and other Stampin’ Up! crafts, as well as wreaths and rustic decor. Originally I signed up because I had a lot of decor boxed up from a few years back that I had never sold. Now I’m coming up with tons of new ideas of things I want to make. Ahhhhh!!! My crafty brain never shuts off! I guess I could have worse problems… So anyway, let’s look at today’s project. It’s a simple baby girl card made with the Stampin’ Up! Little Elephant stamp set and Elephant Builder Punch.
I was sooooo excited when I saw the Elephant Builder Punch and coordinating stamp set in this year’s annual catalog. Isn’t it adorable? The set makes it quick and easy to stamp those cute little guys, then punch them out for added effect. I placed the gentle beasts (well, the petal pink stamped gentle beasts) on top of two ovals I cut out with the Stitched Shapes framelits – my all time favorite die set.
Here you can see the Stampin’ Up! Little Elephant stamp set and the punch. See those really small shapes on the punch? They are for eyes and…ears!
Did you notice the pretty texture in the background? I made that with the Tufted Embossing Folder, then I sponged lightly over the top with Petal Pink ink. It gives a very soft texture that reminds me of quilting – perfect for a baby card!
