How was your weekend? Mine was a little bit relaxing, which is usual lately! I spent most of the last few days working more on my house – cleaning, packing up more items, and rearranging things, but the bright spot was that my fiance and I went to Columbus to see Cirque du Soleil. I have seen it twice before, and I love it! We saw their Crystal show, and it was really good. Now it’s Monday, back to the real world! Later this week I will finally be announcing my new business endeavor, and I think you’ll be interested in hearing about it. Make sure to stop back in! For today, I have a Meant to Be card idea to share for Valentine’s Day!
We made this at one of my card classes last week, and the ladies really liked it! Then the next day my mom saw the card laying on my table, and it seemed that she really liked it, so I asked if she wanted it. She didn’t waste any time saying yes!
I made this using our Meant to Be stamp set and coordinating Be Mine Stitched Framelits. Below you can see everything that comes in this set!
The framelits for this set are amazing. Stampin’ Up! is really getting inventive with their thinlits, and coming out with sets that allow for so much creativity. You can use the hearts in a lot of different ways. For example, take a look at the two thick ruffly hearts shown near the center of the photo above. Those are the dies I used for this card. I used the larger one to cut both the large pink heart outline, and the designer paper heart. I used the small one to cut both the small heart outline and the white heart. Pretty cool that you can cut two different pieces with a single die! Oh, and the stitched effect is just gorgeous!
Here you can see that I made a special fold on this card. Special folds always add a nice touch.
One last note – I chose the ‘You Make Me Happy’ greeting for the front because you could use it for anyone, a significant other, family member, or friend!
