Welcome! Are you looking for a fun, witty card to send your friends? If so, I have the perfect card for you. This triangle fun fold card is a great alternative to a standard card that opens on the left side. It includes a fun and interesting way to open the card, very witty greetings from a stamp set called Bunches of Fun and a new coloring technique I can’t wait to share. Let’s take a look.
What’s A Triangle Fold Card
Before we get started, let me share with you a little about fun fold cards. Fold folds are simply a style of card that uses different folding and cutting methods to give the card an interesting way of opening. Today’s project features a triangle fold technique. With this technique, I’ll be using a card base that looks like a triangle, and folding it to create a fun way for the recipient to open it. Now let’s take a look at the stamp set I used for today’s triangle fun fold card.

How to Make a Triangle Fold Card
I made two cards using this Triangle Fold style. Both include the new Pattern Party Designer Series Paper. This paper is a part of a hostess exclusive pack available right now. If you place an order of $150 on your own or gather that much in orders for a party, you’ll be able to choose this paper as a free gift. It has fun colorful designs on one side, black and white prints on the other, and includes a whopping 48 sheets!
Below is a list of materials and measurements you can prepare ahead of time for this project.
Triangle Fold Materials & Measurements:
- 8 1/2″ x 11″ Cardstock, Scored at 4 1/4″ on the short edge and 5 1/2″ on the long edge, Cut Diagonally
- 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ Designer Series Paper, Cut Diagonally
- Corresponding Cardstock cut with Stitched Triangles Dies
Other Materials:
- Pastels
- Blender Pens
- Shimmery White Paper
- Stitched Triangles Dies
- Dimensionals
First you’ll want to cut an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock in half diagonally. Fold on the 4 1/4″ and 5 1/2″ score lines. These are the flaps of the card the recipient will open. To add the designer paper on the front, simply cut a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece diagonally. Add the triangle layers to the front of the card that were die cut with the Stitched Triangles dies. When attaching these with adhesive, only attach to one flap of the card. I used Stampin Up’s new Pastels to color in the images. This is such a fun and different way to color.
