I’m loving this card. I love it more in person than in the picture, but I guess you get the general idea. I think it’s the combination of rustic and pretty that I love so much. I’m using this for a Mother’s Day card, but really you could use it for any occasion. Yesterday’s post features another great Mother’s Day card. It’s purple in case you happen to like purple as much as I do! But I digress…on to today’s card.
I have loved the Too Kind stamp set since I laid eyes on it. Aren’t these flowers fabulous? They’re so simple, but so beautiful.
To get the color variation in the flowers, I first used the Calypso Coral color. I stamped all three large flowers without reinking, to get the faded effect. Then I repeated the same for the small flower. Next I added the Melon Mambo color to the flowers using the same process. I stamped the background using the Dictionary stamp and Sahara Sand ink.
I’m continuing my 5 week-long period of highlighting retiring products. These are the products I used that are being retired: Too Kind, Dictionary and Apothecary Art stamp sets, Labels Framelits dies, Ivory Naturals cardstock and Baked Brown Sugar cardstock.
