Tips For Avoiding Measuring On Card Projects.
I have three simple tips to avoid having to measure on your card projects. They include…
1. Trim Designer Papers At Random
For the background papers on these cards, I didn’t measure specific sizes. I do this fairly often. I just start trimming down papers and I end up with an assortment of sizes that I can piece together in any arrangement that looks nice. Don’t be afraid to just start cutting!
2. Stamp First, Trim Second
When you’re stamping onto a piece of paper, you don’t have to worry about measurements. Just do your stamping, then trim around it. Easy!
3. Mats Without Measuring
If you like creating mats that are slightly larger or smaller than another piece, measurements become more important. In the video today I shared how I just lay my smaller mat on top of the larger piece, line it up and eyeball where to cut it. You can do this without using specific measurements. Watch along to see how I do this.
