Hello friends! I hope you are well. We have been deep into birthday celebrating season here at the Helman house. Between farmer Matt, me and the kids, five of our six birthdays are between mid January and this week. We had some celebrating over the weekend, and now it’s time to wrap up the celebrations until our last one in August. I needed a card for one of the boys, and decided to make an accordion fold card decorated in a sports theme with the new Stampin Up Your Biggest Fan products. This type of card fold is SO easy to create, and then you can decide whether to decorate it simply or elegantly. I’ll share exactly how to create it below.
Above you can see the card folded together, and below it is opened up.

The products I used on this card are really a lot of fun. It’s hard to find masculine-themed stamping supplies, and this is a great bundle for men. The paper pack is full of sports-themed designs on one side, and bold un-themed designs on the other. Below you can see the Stampin Up Your Biggest Fan stamps and the coordinating Sports Event Dies. The stamp and die set include nice sports-themed images, but I can see this set being used in many other ways because of the tickets included. I’m envisioning creating tickets or coupons for a husband or kids for fun days, breakfast in bed, movie night, etc.
You can see how I used this bundle for today’s card. How else would you use it?
Next I’ll share the dimensions so you can create today’s fun fold card yourself.
Card Dimensions
You can choose whether to create all the panels like I did, or keep it simpler. To make the card as shown, you’ll need the following:
5 1/2″ x 11″ card base scored at 4″, 6 3/4″, and 9 1/2″
Cardstock mats: 3 7/8″ x 5 3/8″, 2 – 2 5/8″ x 5 3/8″, 2 – 1 3/8″ x 5 3/8″
Designer paper: 3 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ (a subtle print so you can stamp and sign the card), 2 – 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″, 2 – 1 1/4″ x 5 1/4″
Assemble your card and decorate as desired! I decorated using pieces that I die cut from the designer paper. This saved time, and it turned out really cute!
