Welcome stampers, I’m glad you’re here! Today I’m sharing ideas for how to use outline stamps that don’t involve coloring them in. I’ve shared similar posts in the past, but today I have some new ideas and new card projects to share. I was excited to use the Stampin Up Rejoice In Him stamp set for the first time, and I used a few others as well. Let’s take a look!
7 Ways To Use Outline Stamps
Below I have 7 examples of ways to use outline stamps. I’ll share the stamp set I used to create each one, as well as the technique.
Stampin Up Places In The Heart Stamp Set
For this first card, my idea is pretty basic – just stamp it! Sometimes we miss the obvious, and skip past simple. Sometimes simple is best. Isn’t this beautiful?
Technique 2 is to add a bit of shading using watercolor pencils. I created this card with the Places In The Heart stamp set as well.
Stampin Up Easter Bunny Stamp Set
My third idea is to add color with texture stamps. For this card, I stamped color over the bunny using the Hello Beautiful stamp set.
Technique 4 is to stamp onto designer paper. Quick and simple!
Stampin Up Rejoice In Him Stamp Set
This next idea is to emboss over top of the stamped image. Doesn’t this add a lot?!
Idea 6 is to do a basic watercolor wash over the stamped images. Another quick, yet beautiful, technique.
Stampin Up Blessings Of Home
Last but not least, you can also do no-line watercoloring, which creates a really stunning result. Learn more about no-line watercoloring here.
