Welcome stampers! Can you believe November has arrived? Along with the beginning of a new month, we have a special release collection of products I’m excited to share with you today. It’s the Stampin Up Framed Florets bundle, plus a few other items that make up the Fitting Florets collection. Along with 9 card ideas, I’ll share 3 fun techniques. Let’s take a look!
Stampin Up Framed Florets Bundle
The Framed Florets bundle includes the Framed Florets stamp set and Framed Florets dies (both have the same name…thank you Stampin Up – one less thing for me to remember!!). This is a lovely set including some nice floral stamps, coordinating dies, sweet sentiments, and classic oval and frame dies with embossed accents. The stamps and dies are an early release from our upcoming January Mini Catalog!
Fitting Florets Collection
In addition to the Framed Florets stamp set and dies, we also have several coordinating products. They include the Fitting Florets designer paper pack, Gold Adhesive Backed Swirls embellishments, and a really great Christmas sentiment stamp set called Framed & Festive. All three of these products are only available while supplies last.
Now let’s take a look at some card ideas using these products!
Technique Card Sample 1 – A Fun Stamparatus Technique
For this card, I mounted the floral stamp to my Stamparatus. First, I used sponge daubers to first ink the flowers with Poppy Parade ink. I stamped, cleaned the stamp, then inked the leaves with a dauber and Old Olive ink. I stamped, then used a marker to color the berries purple and stamped one last time. Then I used the daubers to fill in the stamped image with color. This is a great alternative to coloring with markers, alcohol markers, pencils, or other coloring tools.
Technique Card Sample 2 – Peekaboo Die Technique
For this card, I cut one of the oval frames in half, laid it on top of a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of white cardstock, and traced the insides of the pieces with a pencil. Next, I used the pencil line to cut those areas out with scissors. I stamped the animals from the Peekaboo Farm stamp set onto the card base, then colored them with watercolor pencils. I laid the white mat over top (which I had stamped the greeting onto, then embossed with the Brick & Mortar embossing folder), then popped up the frames with foam dimensionals.
Technique Card Sample 3 – Window Christmas Card
For this card I first attached the 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Boughs of Holly designer paper on top of my card base. Next, I cut the small oval die from the center. Then I cut the large detailed frame from Evening Evergreen cardstock and added it around the opening. I stamped through the center onto the card mat in the center of the card.
Card 4 – Soft Florals
For this card, I stamped the background with the floral and foliage stamps in the set.
Card 5 – Die Cut Designer Paper
For this card, I tore the edges at an angle and added ink around the edges with my blending brushes. See those beautiful die cut flowers? I used dies and cut them out of the designer paper pack!
Card 6 – Lovely Hearts
For the background of this card, I used that lovely die with small hearts in the shape of an oval.
Card 7 – Framed Florals
I kept this one basic, with some designer paper, a pretty frame, and that lovely leaf die, cut from some brushed metallic cardstock.
Card 8 – Keeping It Simple
Just a little designer paper and an oval, which I stamped with stamps from the set.
Card 9 – Using The Leftovers
I had the pink negative piece from cutting a frame for one of the cards above. I decided to emboss it with the Fern embossing folder, and the I used it as a frame!
