Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here with me today, because I have a great tip to share. Let me ask you a question, do you ever feel like you get stuck in a rut and have no inspiration? No worries, that happens to me as well. If that’s ever the case for you, my recommendation is for you to grab a Stampin Up catalog and flip through. You’re bound to be inspired! Speaking of our catalogs, did you know that we have a Stampin Up Catalog Recipes document that includes materials and instructions for every project you see in each catalog? I find this very helpful, and when I need inspiration I know I can use this document to help me create projects from the catalogs. Would you like to know more about these sample recipes? What’s In the Stampin Up Catalog Recipes
The Catalog Recipes document contains a lot of useful information. Here’s what you can find in this PDF document:
Page Number
Sample projects are in order by page number, so it’s easy to find information for a card you like on page 83.
Project Photos
A photo of every sample project. Woohoo!
Difficulty Level
All of the projects are split up into either Casual or Avid projects, depending on the level of difficulty. Casual = simple. Avid = involves techniques and more tools.
Card Base Size
The card base size will be listed. Many cards are the standard A2 size. An A2 card is half of a sheet of 8 1/2″ x 11″ cardstock and measures 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ or 4 1/4″ x 11″.
Stamps
Any stamp sets used on the project will be listed along with their items numbers.
Paper
Cardstock, designer papers, and specialty papers used will be listed with ordering numbers.
Ink
Stamp pads and any coloring tools like markers or pencils will be listed here.
Tools
Punches, dies, adhesives and other tools used will be listed in this section.
Embellishments
It’s all in the details! Embellishments are listed in their own category.
Instructions
In many (but not all) cases, instructions are also included!

I had saved your post from last week on the card recipes and just now tried to find out how one of the cards is made. I finally realized that the link in the post says Jan-June 2020 catalog but when I clicked on it, it did bring up the current 2021 mini catalog so thought I had it. But the card I wanted to try was the one on page 30 using the Wild Rose Stamp. But it only shows that is uses an ombre technique but no instructions on how this is done. Do you know of a place where the additional info could be found? Thanks for introducing us to this resource.
