You know those cards you send to your favorite people at Christmas time? Usually they’re your best, most beautiful cards, right? Today we’re going to make one of those types of cards. It’s amazing, and the best part is it’s simple and straightforward to create. I used the Stampin Up Brightest Glow bundle, and I hope you love it as much as I do. Let’s take a look.
Creating The Tree
As I mentioned, this card is actually simple to create. To make the paper-folded tree, you’ll need several sizes of paper squares. I used squares in the following sizes: 1 1/2″, 1 3/4″, 2″, 2 1/4″ and 2 1/2″.
For each square, you’ll fold it in half several times. Begin with it laying straight in front of you. Fold the bottom half up to line up with the top half. Crease, and open it back up. Turn it 90 degrees and repeat. Next lay it in the shape of a diamond. Fold the bottom point up to meet the top point. Crease, and open it back up. Turn 90 degrees and repeat.
Next you’ll want to watch the video to see how to fold each piece into the shape shown on the card. Once you learn how, it’s so easy!
Brigtest Glow Bundle
This bundle is so pretty! I used it very simply to create the lovely background for this card. Also, the greeting stamps were perfect to create the heat embossed tag on the card.
I also dry embossed the background with the Merry Melody embossing folder which is perfect for holiday cards.
