Stampin Up Botanical Beauty
Here’s the Botanical Beauty background stamp, along with the Unbounded Love stamp set which I used for the greeting.
Next let’s talk about the technique!
Unique Embossing Technique
As you can see, I used multiple colors of ink to stamp the background, and it is also embossed. Here’s how to do this:
- Mount the stamp to your stamping platform.
- Use blending brushes to apply multiple colors of ink to the stamp. Begin with lighter colors, and apply the darkest colors last.
- Stamp onto your paper.
- Clean the stamp.
- Use an embossing buddy on your paper to remove moisture and static.
- Ink the stamp with Versamark and stamp it.
- Apply clear embossing powder, then use a heat tool to heat set it.
- Admire the lovely results!
Extra Techniques
To cut your card into a particular shape using a die, you’ll need to fold the card base, lay the die on top so that the fold will remain intact, and run it through your machine.
