Welcome, and thanks for stopping in! Not too long ago I sat down to craft using the Stampin Up Amazing Thanks die set, and I wanted to come up with a variety of ways to use these big and bold word dies. I knew there would be a lot of ways to use them, and when I started creating more and more ideas kept popping into my mind. I have 10 different ideas for using word dies to share with you today, so let’s take a look.

Stampin Up Amazing Thanks Die Set
Here you can see the die set I used on today’s cards. They include the words, “You” “Are” “Amazing” and “Thanks.” Each word also has a shadow piece.
Ideas For Using Word Die Cuts
Let’s take a look at my samples and I’ll explain ideas for how to use word die cuts on projects.
Attach The Die Cuts – Pretty simple!

Layers The Words – This steps it up a notch.
In addition to layering the words, I also attached them over a cut out frame. This is a really neat effect. I placed acetate window sheet behind it to make sure it was sturdy.

Use Your Trash Pieces For More Beautiful Cards
Featured Products: Expressions In Ink designer paper, Supple Shimmer Paper
Here’s another ‘trash’ card. I used the top piece for blending onto the fourth card sample shown above. Then I used it to create this card!

Bonus Card Ideas
I’ve seen where you can cut 4-6 of the same die cut and glue them together to create one very thick piece. This can be a really cool effect, but the look will be similar to using foam adhesive sheets described above. Also, I showed one more blending example in the video if you want to take a look.
Tips For Using Word Dies
Here are a few helpful tips for creating with word dies:
1. Use multipurpose glue on the backs of die cuts and let it dry. This creates a removable adhesive and then it can be placed on a project for use with blending brushes. The dried glue will hold it in place temporarily. Just don’t forget to use your hand or place it on your shirt to make it a little less sticky – otherwise it might tear your project when you remove it.
2. Save your blending brush templates in the die sleeve, and pull them out anytime to reuse.
3. Use adhesive sheets on the back before you die cut pieces. This turns them into stickers and makes it a breeze to attach them!
