Welcome friends! I hope you are doing well and getting your holiday crafts together. Today I’m sharing a way to make really fun cards. These are shaker cards, but I made them in a much simpler way than most shaker cards are created. This technique was perfect to use with the Stampin Up Snowy Wonder bundle, but keep in mind you can use this technique with any punch or die set. Keep reading to see these fun cards!

How To Make Shaker Cards Simply
For a full tutorial on a traditional shaker card, you can watch along here or here. The difference in the way I created these cards is instead of having to create a shaker area with window sheets and foam strips, you simply put the sequins or shakers inside of a clear envelope, and tape the edge. It’s so much easier!
instructions
Begin by creating your card front, with a punch or die cut removed from the center. Behind this opening is where the shakers will show. It’s good to leave a border of at least 1/4″-1/2″ at the edges of this top piece, to hide the tape and edges of the clear envelope.
Next, create the clear pocket. Start with a clear envelope and cut it down to the appropriate size. Add shakers to the inside, then use clear tape to seal the edges.
Prepare your card base, including any decorations you want to show behind the shaker pocket. Attach the shaker pocket with strong adhesive like glue dots or Seal+. Attempt to place your adhesive where it won’t show through the window.
Next you’ll want to add the top piece using regular adhesive or foam dimensionals.
