So I have some big news. Big, scary news. Maybe exciting, but I’m not sure yet. I mentioned the other day that life has been, well, interesting lately. Today…I’m officially unemployed, or rather, self-employed. I am engaged to marry someone 3 1/2 hours from my home but as of today I’m not yet allowed to move, and won’t be allowed for at least a few months. So without going into lots of detail, life just got really crazy, nuts, interesting…maybe exciting?? I’ve looked at this a lot of ways and I’m trying to go with exciting! I’m not going to pour my guts out on the world wide web, but if you would like to know more please just ask. So what am I going to do with myself from now until the time I move? I’ll give you some clues. 1. I LOVE it. 2. It allows me to use my creativity. 3. It allows me to connect with all of you. Yes, that’s right. I’m putting myself all in to Stampin’ Up! Read on for more details and a pretty watercolor leaf card made with our Falling for Leaves stamp set!
This time in my life is definitely a new, scary adventure. I am the type that plans everything out and has myself covered three ways in case something doesn’t go as planned. At this point I’m just sort of flying by the seat of my pants. I have put my trust in God that everything is going to work out. Some days are harder than others to breathe and trust, but I do have faith. And for now, I’m putting my energy and focus into Stampin’ Up! I need the income, and it’s something I love, so what is there to lose?
So to those of you still reading, those of you who support my Stampin’ Up! business, and those who support me in general, thank you! I truly appreciate it. I am so thankful for my many blessings, and today’s card expresses that. I think all of us have a ‘harvest of blessings’ in our lives, we just have to choose to focus on the good rather than the bad. This card would be perfect to thank one of the many people who bring blessings to your life. I made it using the Stampin’ Up! Falling For Leaves stamp set, the Detailed Leaves thinlits…
…and the Country Lane designer series paper.
To make the pretty watercolor leaf, I first stamped and embossed the leaf onto watercolor paper using white embossing powder. Then I used an aqua painter to add Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, and Soft Suede inks. Then I used the coordinating die to cut out the leaf.
Do you see those amazing Frosted Epoxy Droplets that I used as accents? Oh my goodness I love these things! They glow with beauty!
