It’s Monday! How was your weekend? Mine was good. The weather was delightful, and I was able to enjoy it most of the day yesterday. I also organized my crafting area! I made a spur of the moment decision on Saturday to organize instead of craft with all of my new products, which is what I had planned to do. It was a sacrifice, but I’m so glad it’s done now! Now I know where everything is, and I’ll be able to save time while I’m crafting. That means less time searching and more time doing the fun stuff! Well, let’s take a look at today’s project…a cute pineapple card with an ombre stamping technique.
Who doesn’t love a pineapple?! I think they’re so cheery. I also love eating pineapple. I discovered a few years ago that they help with allergies, cough, and other health related issues, so I always keep fresh chopped pineapple frozen in ziploc bags. When I start to feel a sinus infection or something else come on, I pull out a bag and have it ready. I have read that pineapple juice is supposed to be more effective than cough medicine, but don’t ask me if that’s actually true!
Back to the reason you are here today, let’s talk about this pineapple card. I created the ombre stamping using three colors of ink as well as the stamping off technique. I liked the effect of blending from Daffodil Delight to Granny Apple Green to Bermuda Bay ink, while also blending from dark to light using stamping off.
I used the Timeless Tropical stamp set, shown above, to make this paradise-inspired project. Take a look at this video to see exactly how I made this card!
