Can I just say that I am SO excited that fall is officially here!! I’ve been treating it like fall for a few weeks now, but now it’s official! Over the last few weeks I’ve been trying to share some fall card ideas, and I’ve started challenging myself to make fall cards with products that aren’t necessarily designed for fall. Here was a card I shared last week like this, and today I have another. Today’s is an autumn thinking of you card. Here it is!
I used our Snow Front stamp set to create this lovely scene including the log cabin, lake, and woods. Because the set is called Snow Front, it might be easy to think it’s only for creating winter scenes, so I wanted to share an example for another season! I used a few pieces of Come to Gather designer paper in the background of the card, and these prints are how I chose my color scheme.
I stamped the scene, then placed a piece of vellum over top with the center cut out. It doesn’t seem quite so busy this way and it focuses the attention on the cabin and lake.
Here you can see what comes in the Snow Front stamp set. Would you like to see another card I made using this set? A wintery, Christmas card? Check it out.
This particular card with the fall scene could be used for any occasion, but I decided to make it an autumn thinking of you card since it’s so serene and peaceful looking. I used a stamp from the Itty Bitty Grettings stamp set for the greeting.
