Jolly greetings! Today’s card makes me jolly just seeing it! That’s the best kind of card in my opinion…one that draws out some kind of emotion immediately just by seeing it. Honestly, I’m more of a fan of the ‘pretty’ type of Christmas card, but today’s is so fun that I’m in love with it!
So first, let’s talk about the candy canes at the bottom corner. I used the Stampin’ Up! Candy Cane Season stamp set shown below, along with the coordinating Candy Cane Builder Punch. I think the two candy canes along with a bow made a perfect accent on this card.
This card wouldn’t be nearly as adorable without the designer series paper with Mrs. Claus and Santa’s elves that I used! It’s called Santa’s workshop and it’s some of the most jolly, fun, cheery, holiday excitement-arousing paper I’ve seen in quite a while! Even better – it features flocking accents – so it even feels fun!
I think part of what makes this card so cheery is that I used a non-traditional Christmas color on it – pool party. Pool party coordinates with the Santa’s workshop paper, so it works perfectly.
