January 2023 Paper Pumpkin Alternative Ideas!

Hi stampers! Thanks for stopping in today! I have my monthly card kit to share with you. It’s called Paper Pumpkin, and it arrived a few days ago, so today I want to share it. I’ll be honest – when this kit arrived I thought, “What in the world am I going to do with this?” It’s very ‘lovey’ with a Valentine’s Day theme, and I wasn’t sure how I would use the cards. I got creative (that’s what we do, right?) and found ways to make it really versatile. Let’s take a look at my January 2023 Paper Pumpkin alternative ideas.

January 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Key To My Heart

Here you can see the contents of this kit. It included enough supplies for 9 cards, 3 each of 3 different designs. It contained card bases, envelopes, die cuts, adhesives, stamps, ink, and embellishments.

Here is the stamp set that was included. I really like the images, but I was struggling with how to use the greetings for cards I will actually send!

WHAT To Use These Cards For?

The cards shown on the instructions had very ‘lovey’ greetings like ‘You Are My Valentine’ and ‘You Hold The Key To My Heart.’ I knew I would not use 9 cards with this type of greeting, so I started thinking about other occasions they could be used for. I ended up deciding the designs would be good for weddings, anniversary, thinking of you, friendship, just because, and using the lock and key theme, strength and some puns related to keys. Take a look at what I came up with.

Here you can see the three cards as designed in the kit, with a small modification of the greeting stamp I used on each. I’ve shown the stamp sets I used in case you want to use the same greeting stamps I did.

Now let’s take a look at the alternative ideas I came up with. Again, I’ve included photos of the stamp sets.

This greeting is from the included stamps. I thought it would be good for a wedding, bridal shower or anniversary.

Greeting Used: Together We Are Stronger

Greeting Used: Strong Solid Dependable (inside: You’re All That And More)

Greeting Used: Open House, Open Heart (inside: My Door Is Always Open For You)
