I just received the brand new Stampin Up Sand & Sea product suite featured in the 2021 January-June Mini Catalog, and once I had it I couldn’t wait to start creating with it! This is such an elegant set because of the beautiful beach-coastal them of it. Since getting this set, I’ve already made some beautiful cards, and I’m looking forward to making even more projects. Today, I’m going to share with you the cards I’ve created using the new Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set and Seashell embossing folder. Let’s get started.
Below is a little description of what the Sand & Sea product suite includes.
Stamping Up Sand & Sea Product Suite
Stampin Up’s Sand & Sea product suite includes the Friends are like Seashells Stamp Set, Sand & Sea Designer Paper Pack, Seashell Embossing Folder and Opal Embellishments. What a neat collection of products!
Below are some ways to use the Sand & Sea product suite. Let’s talk about it!
Ways to Use Sand & Sea Product Suite
There are so many ways to use the Stampin Up Sand & Sea product suite. I love the coastal feel and friendship/love theme of the greetings and sentiments in the stamp set. Below is one sample of a friendship card I made using this set.

Next is a list of materials you’ll need to make this card.
Materials
- Seashell Embossing Folder
- Friends are like Seashells Stamp Set
- Blending Brushes
- Sand & Sea Designer Paper measuring 3″ x 5 1/2″
- Pearlescent Paper measuring 3″ x 4 3/4″
- Opal Embellishments
- Ink (I used: Pear Pizzazz, Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake and Seaside Spray)
- Adhesive
- Crumb Cake Card base
- Seaside Spray Cardstock measuring 3 1/4″ x 5″
Instructions
First, emboss the Pearlescent paper with the Seashell embossing folder. If you use this piece as-is, it will look like the card on the right below. It’s gorgeous just like this! However, if you want to add color to the shells, continue on.
Next, I used one of Stampin Up’s newest tools, the blending brush. These blending brushes are amazing, and if you missed my last blog on the blending brush, you’ll soon discover it’s my newest favorite tool. Click here to read more about blending brushes.
Next, apply and blend Pear Pizzazz, Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake and Seaside Spray inks to the embossed paper. After blending the ink, apply adhesive to the embossed paper and attach to Seaside Spray cardstock.
Mount the Sand & Sea Designer Paper to the card base. You can finish the front of the card by attaching a greeting of your choice from the Friends are like Seashells stamp set. Use a few opal embellishments as you please!
There you have it! Two beautiful coastal-themed friendship cards using the Stampin Up Sand & Sea product suite.
