Today’s card makes me say WOW – I made that! And it wasn’t even very difficult! Don’t you love stamping techniques that pack an impressive punch, but aren’t very difficult? That’s what I’m going to share with you today, and by the end, I think you’ll feel confident that you could replicate this card using our soon-to-be-released Stampin Up Field of Flowers stamp set. Let’s get started!
I’ll start by explaining how I created today’s card. If you prefer to watch me make the card instead of reading how to do it, take a look at the video link below!
I created this card front from scratch, meaning that I started with plain white cardstock. I used sponge brayering to create the gorgeous background. I sponged Daffodil Delight ink from the bottom up past the halfway point, then sponged Mango Melody ink from the top down until the two colors blended. I added a small amount of Terracotta Tile ink at the top, and then brayered a strip of black across the bottom. After the brayering was completed, I stamped the images from the stamp set using Memento black ink. I love the resulting sunset silhouette scene!
I didn’t use it for this project, but this new Stampin Up Field of Flowers set has a coordinating punch. See those six small flowers at the bottom of the stamp set? The punch coordinates with all of them, allowing you to punch them out all at once. You can create a neat floral border by punching the flowers out repeatedly from a strip of cardstock, and then using the strip instead of the flowers themselves.
