I said yesterday that I started wrapping gifts a few nights ago. Does anyone have experience wrapping presents with a toddller in their midst? I had envisioned how it would go, but for some unknown reason I attempted it anyway. Actually, at times she was very helpful, such as when she added tape in places I needed it or handed me the scissors that she had snagged while I wasn’t watching. Some of the less helpful moments included sitting on every box (keep in mind these boxes are not strong enough to support a sturdy 22 month old), dancing around on the paper I had laid out and was trying to cut, and playing with every toy I was wrapping up for my nieces and nephews. So when I get ready to wrap more presents, will I do it after she is sleeping? Nah, it was good mommy daughter time. We were watching Elf too…possibly my favorite movie of all time. I definitely enjoyed it more than she did!
So while I was wrapping, I decided I wanted to wrap a few of my small gifts with some of our designer series paper. I got out the few pieces I still have left and of course I was drawn to the prints in the Home For Christmas pack. They are gorgeous. Don’t they make pretty gift wrap?
The poinsettia box is my favorite. The paper is absolutely beautiful, and then I added the poinsettia tag that I created with the Festive Flower Builder punch. I love it!
I love how the Christmas tree paper looks too. The satin ribbon did a great job covering up the gap I had on the sides of the box because my paper wasn’t quite big enough to cover it! Remember…there is always a way to fix problems on your projects. Always. You just have to get creative sometimes.
I love using punches when I’m making tags. I used the Note Tag, Extra Large Oval and Label Bracket punches. I added the snowflake element which I embossed in gold so it would coordinate with the gold cording trim.
So do you like my Home for Christmas gift wrap? I hope so! I hope the recipient (my momma) does too!
