Do you like to try new techniques on your papercrafting projects? Do you like to see what you can create using new tools or by using the supplies you already have in a new way? For today’s project, I created this lovely flower bouquet card using both masking and Stampin Blends markers. Keep reading and I’ll share more!
First I’ll show you the products I used to make this card. They include the Tasteful Touches stamp set and Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. You can see them below, along with the single flower stamp that I used to create this amazing bouquet.
To create the bouquet, I first stamped the flower onto two post it notes, and then I cut out the flowers by hand. These would serve as my masks to avoid stamping over top of flowers as I added the flowers ‘behind’ them. It is important that the back side of your flower masks have some sticky from the post it notes to hold them in place.
I stamped one flower (the one that looks to be closest to you), then placed a mask over top and added another flower. I masked that flower, then added another one ‘behind’ it. I continued this, moving the masks to the area where I would be stamping. When I stamped the flowers that look lightest and fartest away, I stamped off onto scrap paper before stamping on my card to achieve the faded black effect. I also used ligher colors of Stampin Blends markers to add color to these flowers.
