What a whirlwind of a weekend it was! We had a good sized group of friends and family join us on Saturday for a meal and to hang out and enjoy good company. We had planned to have a hogroast, and eventually decided to prepare the meat ourselves. I roasted and shredded 40 lb. of pork loins, and put some other food together too! It was a lot of work, but lots of fun! I absolutely love a good carry-in. The food is just amazing. Everyone brings their best dishes…how could you go wrong? Just for fun…check out the picture below of our dessert table! Then keep reading for today’s card that I made with the Stampin Up Royal Peacock stamp set!
Seriously, look at all those desserts! It’s a good thing there were a lot of people I wanted to talk to, because it kept me away from all these desserts!! I’m looking forward to getting a couple of new recipes for these delicious treats!
Well let’s take a look at this amazing peacock card that I created today.
Peacocks, to me, are a symbol of something special…something showy…truly unique, beautiful, and amazing. I love that we now have the Stampin Up Royal Peacock stamp set and Detailed Peacock dies to match. I think this set is perfect for making projects that have a real impact, and help the recipient feel important and beautiful.
This was my first chance to use the Beads & Baubles embossing folder, which you can see on the background of the card, and boy do I love it! What a neat design. It wasn’t my first chance to use that Noble Peacock specialty paper though! It’s the paper pieces you see with foil accents. I’ve been using it like crazy and it’s my FAV!
