I had so much fun at my card class last night. I love seeing the ladies who come and stamp. It’s just good for the soul. The fellowship is good for the soul, and I’m convinced that stamping is too. It’s just so…fun, relaxing, rewarding…and many other things. Do you agree? Let me know in the comments! Moving on to today’s project, I’m sharing a card that I made for a class a while back, and I loved how it turned out. I made this with the Eastern Beauty stamp set and coordinating Eastern Medallions thinlits dies.
I’m always pleased when I make a card that is primarily white. They are so elegant. For this one, I have four layers of white cardstock – the card base, the card front which I cut a medallion out of, the six-pointed star medallion, and the round copper medallion in the center.
Looking at the copper embossing, I used stamps from the Eastern Beauty set for the outer circle and star medallion. To emboss the medallion in the center, I inked the entire die cut with Versamark, and covered it with embossing powder. The Happy Anniversary stamp is from the Best Birds set.
This would be a great design for a wedding card as well. Do you think other colors would work as well as white? What colors would you use?
So I’m curious…what’s on your wish list right now? Now is a great time to shop, and I encourage you to get a few of those things on your list now. Why you ask? Because the Holiday Catalog is coming soon, and you might just forget about the Annual Catalog once it arrives! You’re probably going to want a lot more!
