DIY Dollar Store Farmhouse Sign

Have you hopped on the farm house decorating bandwagon? I have to admit, I have loved this style of decorating since before it was even popular, so I am thrilled with being able to find farmhouse décor everywhere I look. Sometimes it’s nice to have one of a kind items rather than those that are mass produced and sold through stores. Today I want to share a DIY dollar store farmhouse sign that you can make in just a few minutes. I hope you’ll join in!

Make This Sign Yourself

Using just a few materials, this sign is easy to create. I picked up the frame in the home decorating section of my local Dollar General for just $2. It had a monogram and a small wreath attached to the front which I removed to create a flat surface inside the frame. Then it was a blank canvas for decorating! Keep reading and I’ll explain how to create the beautiful wreath and letters.

Supplies Needed

To make this dollar store farmhouse sign, you will need the following:

White card stock
Crumb cake cardstock and ink
In Good Taste designer series paper
Stampin Cut and Emboss Machine
Wooden frame

Birch Stamp

I used this to stamp that beautiful background.

Playful Alphabet Dies and Foam Adhesive Sheets

I used this die set and the foam sheets to create three dimensional letters that really stand out from the background.

Here are a couple of other projects I have made with the same bundle. Here is a double pocket envelope card that was a lot of fun to create, and it makes the perfect gift card holder for a wedding or other occasion.

And below is another version of the same project, just decorated differently. Instead of holding a gift card inside, I included a seed packet and used these as a gift for my team members at our team retreat last summer.
