Cute Teacher Gift Idea

It’s the week before Christmas! Are you almost ready? Are you still looking for some last minute gifts? If you need a teacher gift idea, I have one to share today. It is a cute mini desk calendar, decorated with apples made with our Harvest Hellos stamp set and Apple Builder Punch. Take a look!

I had originally offered to make cards for the teachers at my daughter’s school, to be delivered from the PTO. Sometime between October and now, the ‘card’ idea turned into a desk calendar! It seemed practical, and they would be able to keep them on their desks to enjoy all year long. It seemed like a win-win. So I got to work making all 60 of them!

I ordered the mini calendars on Etsy. I made the easels by starting with pieces of 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ cardstock, and scoring at 1/2″, 3 1/4″, 6″, and 7″. Then I simply folded them up, attached the calendars, and decorated. I used the Harvest Hellos stamp set and Apple Builder Punch to make the apples. I stamped the motivational greeting, which I found in the Above the Clouds stamp set. “We rise by lifting others,” seemed fitting for the teachers. I also made a flat version of these with magnets on the back for the bus drivers (see photo above).

Here they are, all wrapped up and ready to be delivered to the teachers. I used to be a teacher myself, and I have so much respect for teachers! It’s a job that takes so much, and often seems thankless. I appreciate what teachers do, at my child’s school and everywhere!
