Now let’s talk about how to make today’s fun flap cards!

Materials

Here’s a list of materials you’ll need to make this card.

Playful Pets Designer Series Paper measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″
Playful Pets Designer Series Paper measuring 2 3/4″ x 3 1/2″
Make A Difference Stamp Set
Nothing’s Better Than Stamp Set
Pets Die Set
Playful Pets Trinkets
Real Red cardstock for card base measuring 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, folded
Real Red cardstock piece measuring 3 1/2″ (scored at 3″) x 3 3/4″
Whisper White cardstock measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″
Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon measuring 13″

Instructions

For this project, I’m going to explain how to make the cute little dog card, but you can substitute the doggie die cut for the cat, if you prefer!

First, let’s make the base. Grab the Real Red paper piece measuring 3 1/2″ (scored at 3″) x 3 3/4″ and fold it on the score line. Run some adhesive across the back of the fold you just made. Open the card base and hook the smaller red paper over the front flap, press to adhere. This creates the fun fold part of the card!

Next, attached the Playful Pets designer paper (whichever print you choose) to the base of your card starting with the larger flap. After you’ve done that, attached the smaller Playful Pets designer paper to the fun fold flap you’ve created.

Once your paper is in place, grab the 13″ Black Glitter Ribbon and tie it around the fun fold flap. Next, attached the cardstock for the inside panel where your greeting will be.

For the inside of the card, I used a combination of stamp sets. I used the Nothing’s Better Than set, as well as letters from the Make A Difference set, to create a greeting that says, “You’re just like dogs. You make everything better.” I think this is just perfect for this set!

Finish the front of the card by cutting a dog from the Playful Pets designer paper using the Pets dies. To give it a fun little finishing touch, use a glue dot to attach the bone for the doggie’s collar!
