Gobble gobble!! Turkey day is almost here! If you’re looking for a great Thanksgiving table decoration, centerpiece or favor, a curvy keepsake box turkey is perfect for all three!
First, I wanted to share a picture from last night. I was working on thank yous for my wonderful customers who have placed orders recently. I got out some beautiful fall cards to share with them! Thanks to all of you who support my business!
Now back to the turkey. These were very easy to make. I used the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits die to cut out two pieces for the base of the box. I attached them on the bottom and then folded up the sides. Here is how I made each of the turkey parts.
- Feathers- Large oval punch (actually the smaller of our two oval punches)
- Head- 1 1/2″ circle
- Beak- I cut the triangle by hand
- Wattle (red wobbly thing)- Half of the Bitty Butterfly punch
- Tag- Decorative Label punch
- The ‘Give thanks for all things’ stamp is from the For All Things stamp set.
I filled these cute little guys with caramels and plan to set them out for the kids at our Thanksgiving meal.
A great thing about these curvy keepsake boxes is that you can turn them into ANYTHING. Turkeys, snowmen, Santa, pumpkins, team mascots, scarecrows, witches, any animal you can think of, luminaries, cartoon characters, baby buggies, wedding favors…you name it, I’m sure you can turn this little box into it.
Don’t forget that I’m going to have some awesome Black Friday deals next week. Make sure to sign up for my email list so you get all the details! If you’re planning to place an order, use hostess code NA6AZJPU and I will send you a free gift! Even better, sign up for stamp club and you will get free projects and free stamps!
