I’m so excited to share today’s cards with you. I received this cross stamp and die set recently and I just had to play around with it. I decided to highlight a technique using sponge daubers to put multiple colors of ink onto a single stamp, and I love the way these cards turned out. Let’s take a look at them.

Faith Collection Cross Stamp & Die Set
Here you can see this beautiful cross stamp and die set. I like that it includes a woodgrain stamp and die, so that you can use just the plain cross or choose to overlay it with the wood effect. The palm stamps are nice as well, and the palms with cross opening in the center stamp gives you the option to use the stamp by itself or pair it with a cross stamp or die cut. Options are always good!

Faith Cards Using The Cross Stamp And Die Set
Let’s take a look at these card examples.
For this first card, I inked the palm stamp with three colors of ink using sponge daubers – Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce. When inking, I suggest starting with the lightest color, next adding the medium shade, and the darkest ink last. This will prevent you from ending up with dark ink on your lighter daubers and ink pads. I decided to emboss this card with the Fern embossing folder. How do you like it?

For this next card, I inked the palm stamp in the same way, but I overlaid it with the cross stamp and die cut, which I created with Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, and Early Espresso inks.

Here is a wreath card I created using the single palm stamp and the following colors: Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Summer Splash, and Petunia Pop.

Here is another cross card, similar to the ones shown above. I used Blackberry Bliss, Petunia Pop, and Bubble Bath inks, and I decided to use the sponge dauber technique on the sentiment as well.

Last but not least, I created this rainbow card. I used the same colors listed for the wreath card above. For a fun background, I decided to stamp the ‘God is love’ stamp repeatedly in rainbow colors.

I absolutely love this cross stamp and die set, as well as the technique I used on these cards. Can you think of some ways to use this technique?
