I hope you had a great holiday yesterday! I spent the day doing projects, and not craft projects, unfortunately. I have been restaining a swingset/playhouse for my daughter that I got a bargain on back in the spring. The upside was it only cost $100. The downside was it needed refinished. I think I’m 28 hours into the project by now, but I’m somewhat exhaustedly pleased to say that I should be done in about 2 more hours. Thank goodness. Then I can move on to another outdoor project needing done! Well enough of that, let’s talk about something fun! How about embossing paste?! I have been loving playing with Stampin’ Up’s embossing paste, and today I have a tutorial video to share with you featuring both brayering and embossing paste. Here are the cards I made.
I brayered the background with Rich Razzleberry/Night of Navy, after which I used one of our Pattern Party masks and embossing paste to create that fantastic texture.
I used the Label me Pretty stamp set and Pretty Label punch to create the greetings. I love stamp sets and punches like these that make it super duper fast to make nice greetings for cards!
I tried to get a good picture of the texture created by the embossing paste. Can you see it in the photo below?
Here’s the video showing how to make this card!
