Only a few days until Mother’s Day! Are you ready with a fitting card? Over the next couple of days I will share a few different ideas that may help to inspire you. Here is today’s Mother’s Day card. I’m a purple girl and I absolutely love this Blackberry Bliss color that is one of Stampin’ Up’s 2014-2016 In Colors. I will admit that the first time I used this color I thought it was too dark and I threw away what I had stamped and got out another color to use! I learned that I need to let the colors dry for a minute or two if I think they are too dark. They they usually turn out just right!
The flower and leaves that are the focus of this card come from the Bloom with Hope stamp set. This is one of our exclusive stamp sets that are only available to hostesses. There are two ways to get the stamp set- host a party with sales of at least $150, or place a $150 order yourself or with a friend or two. With a $150 order, you will get $25 in hostess credit which you can use for the Bloom with Hope stamp set or anything else you choose! It’s only available through June 2, so don’t wait! Here is what comes in the set. I especially love the greetings for sympathy cards, and the flowers of course.
To make my card, I stamped the flower and leaf images with black StazOn ink, then colored them in using an Aqua Painter and ink. The colors I used were Blackberry Bliss, Always Artichoke, Soft Suede and Crushed Curry. The flower was actually stamped on a separate piece of paper and cut out using my handy dandy paper snips. I attached it with Stampin’ Dimensionals because they make every project better!
I used a number of retiring products to make this card. They will be gone very very soon! They are only available while supplies last or June 2 at the latest! The retiring products I used include: Something Lacy, Bloom with Hope and Apothecary Art stamp sets, Labels Framelits dies, the Modern label punch, and naturals ivory cardstock.
Check out the supplies I used and order below!
