Is anyone interested in knowing how many days it is until Christmas? 105 more days. Now, before you start calling me some Christmas nutjob, I am NOT one to rush past fall right into Christmas. However, I am one to work on Christmas cards before the holiday seasons sweeps in and there’s no time for anything extra! From now through Christmas, I’ll be sharing a couple of Christmas card ideas with you each week to help inspire your holiday crafting, and so that you can plan ahead on your crafting projects too. Today’s card features the Stampin Up Snow Front stamp set which I used to create the delightful log cabin scene on this card.
First, let’s take a look at this stamp set and the pieces and parts included in it!
You could create sooo many scenes using this stamp set. Wintery scenes are obvious, but you could also create gorgeous summer scenes as well. All you would need to do is use the ‘scattered dots’ stamp to add leaves to the deciduous trees, and it could be spring, summer or fall!
I stamped this scene in just a few seconds during my recent Holiday Catalog Kickoff Party that I threw in my stamping Facebook group. Click the link and request to join in the fun and take a look at the video!
Do you see the sparkle on the top and bottom edges of the greeting tag below? I used a bit of our sparkly washi tape that’s included in the Let It Snow Embellishment Kit to adorn the tag. It adds a nice touch!
I better not forget to mention how I created that beautiful snow! When I finished making this card it lacked something, so I got out a bottle of our brand new Snowfall Accents Puff Paint and got to work. I applied it to the card, and then got out my heat gun and heated it for a few seconds. After a short bit, it ‘puffed’ before my eyes and the snow was complete! I love how it turned out. I’m envisioning using this puff paint on many Christmas and winter projects, but other ones too like cupcakes for frosting!
