Hooray!! It's Stampin' Up! Birthday Backgrounds!

Now for today’s card…hooray, it’s time for a festive celebration card that would be perfect for a man, or great for women too!! I made it with the Stampin’ Up! Birthday Backgrounds stamp set. Check it out!

I wanted to keep a single color scheme with this card and decided to go with blue. The darker colors that I used are Night of Navy and Blueberry Bushel, while the lighter colors are Balmy Blue, Pool Party, and Smoky Slate.

For the greeting, I used the Hooray stamp from the Broadway Birthday stamp set. I decided to create a shadow, so I stamped the image first with Blueberry Bushel ink, then moved the stamp slightly and stamped again without re-inking. It’s an easy way to create a nice effect!

And here is the Birthday Backgrounds set! When I saw this I knew I had to have it. These stamps can be used for so many different occasions, either for backgrounds or just simple decorations around the outer edges of a card or card layer.
