A couple of days ago I mentioned potty training endeavors with my small friend (aka my daughter). We’re still working on it. Slowly but surely she’s deciding not to scream so loudly before she actually goes on the potty. I’m not sure what’s so terrible about it, but apparently it is awful. I think we’ve made it through the worst of it, but it’s possible that I’m wrong. I’ll keep you updated! I’m sure you’re on the edge of your seats wanting to hear more about it!
So speaking of my ‘small friend,’ she turns two years old in less than two weeks! It’s crazy how fast she is growing up. She speaks in full sentences and has very insightful things to says these days. Like the other day I was trying to pull her pants up and she told me, ‘I need bigger pants.’ Well ok, I guess she was probably right. I can’t wait to see what the next year brings. These days Minnie Mouse is one of her favorite characters. A while back I asked if she wanted her birthday party to have a Minnie or Minion (another favorite) theme, and she confidently answered, ‘Minnie!’ That was that, Minnie it would be. It’s time to get invitations out, so here are the Minnie Mouse birthday party invitations that I came up with.
To create Minnie’s head and ears, I used the circles framelits dies and 2″ circle punch. Easy peasy.
That fantastic ‘It’s time to celebrate with cake,’ stamp came from the Party With Cake stamp set which is new in our Occasions Catalog. Scroll down to see the inside of the card too, because the greeting on the inside came from the same set.
Do you like Minnie’s bow? Our Bow Builder punch is one of the most stinking adorable things I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t bring myself to put the invitations in envelopes and squash the bow, so I hand delivered all of them!
Here’s the inside of the card. I printed the party details on full sheets of cardstock and then cut them down. I used the Dotty Angles stamp set for the pink confetti.
