Stampin Up Sophisticated Sled & Quick Christmas Cards

Welcome stampers! The weather will soon begin turning cooler, and that means holiday crafting is on the horizon. If you plan to send out Christmas cards, now is the time to begin preparing! I have three simple card ideas to share today, made with the Stampin Up Sophisticated Sled stamp set. These are perfect for beginning stampers or those needing to make a lot of card quickly. Let’s take a look at them!

Stampin Up Sophisticated Sled Bundle

Before we take a look at the cards, I wanted to give you a quick look at the adorable Sophisticated Sled stamp set. It has a coordinating die set, but for today’s easy cards I only used the stamps.

Now let’s take a look at the good part – the cards!

Simple – Sophisticated Sled – Card Ideas

Let’s take a look at each card. I’ll give basic instructions for how to create each one, and I’ll also give a tip for creating quick greetings for each card.

Wreath Card

For this card, you’ll need a 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” card base folded in half, white cardstock measuring 2 3/8” x 2 3/8”, Smoky Slate cardstock measuring 2 5/8” x 2 5/8”, and a piece of designer paper measuring 3″ X 5 1/2”. I used designer paper from the Country Woods designer paper pack, which I absolutely love.

*Quick greeting tip – Use leftover 1/2” wide strips to stamp narrow greetings, then trim them apart using scissors. Pop them up with foam dimensionals if desired.

Ice Skates Card

My second card is the one shown at the top left below. I also created several variations of it. To make this card, you’ll need a 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” card base folded in half, and a piece of 3” x 5” black cardstock. I stamped the ice skates three times using white craft ink, then added a tag at the top.

Here are some stepped-up versions of this card, if the original is a bit simple for your taste.

*Quick greeting tip – Use the Greeting Of The Season bundle, or a similar set to cut a lot of tags at one time. It allowed me to cut nine tags with one pass through my Cut & Emboss machine, and then I was able to stamp greetings on them quickly.

Let’s look at the third card I made with the Stampin Up Sophisticated Sled set!

Sled Card

I love the sled stamp that I used on this card! To make this card, you’ll need a 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” card base folded in half, designer paper measuring 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”, and a piece of cardstock measuring 2 1/2” x 4 1/8”. Stamp the sled on the small piece of cardstock, then assemble and add a tag.

*Quick greeting tip – Use the Naughty & Nice stamp set and coordinating Labeled With Love punch, or a similar set to create quick tags.

Here you can see how I stamped several tags onto a leftover cardstock strip, then quickly punched them out.

I love how quickly these cards came together. They’re great ideas if you’re looking for simple cards you can create for your loved ones!
