Before I used the Wonderful World stamp set, I liked it, but when I used it I loved it. The stamps turn out so beautiful. Let’s look at some fun ways to use these products!
Designer Paper Techniques
First I’ll share four fun techniques to try with your printed papers. For details on any of these techniques, make sure to watch along with the video.
1. Add Color Using Markers Or Water Painters
Originally, this paper included white, greens, purples, and blues. I added the reds with markers for a fun pop of color.
2. Fussy Cutting
I cut out this beautiful flower from a print in the paper pack. It makes a beautiful focal point for this simple card.
3. Cut Into Panels
I began with a piece of floral paper measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″. I cut the piece in half both directions, first at 2″ and then at 2 5/8″. If you like this type of card, you can see more panel card ideas here.
4. Nested Die Cutting
By cutting with several dies at once, you can create neat effects as shown below.
Techniques With Stamps
Now let’s talk about some fun techniques to try with your stamps.
1. Color With Markers
This allows you to get different colors of ink on different parts of your stamp.
2. Color With Daubers
This is similar to the technique shown above, but the ink is applied to the stamp with sponge daubers.
3. Stamp, Then Emboss
Use the Stamparatus to stamp an image, then stamp again in the same place using Versamark ink. Emboss with clear embossing powder, and it looks like you embossed with other colors!
4. Lineless Coloring
I love the effect of not having outlines on a stamped image. Learn more about lineless coloring here or you can learn all about water painters as well.
