Welcome! In less than one week, the new January-June Mini Catalog will be released. I’m excited about so many of these new products, and I’ll be sharing tons of inspiration with you using them soon. For today, I’m participating in a blog hop with some other Stampin Up demonstrators I’ve gotten to know over the past year as part of the Great Lakes Demonstrator Council. We are all sharing projects made with brand new products, and I’ll be sharing a new bundle called Stampin Up Artfully Layered, as well as some about our year serving on Demo Council.
Before I get started I want to make sure you know that many of the Holiday Catalog items are retiring in just a few days. Make sure to take a look and order the ones you love before they’re gone! Now let’s look at today’s projects.
Aren’t these beautiful? Let’s talk about them!

Watch along here to see how I did the keyhole cutout technique, and I’ll also explain about the other card projects shown above!
Stampin Up Artfully Layered
The Stampin Up Artfully Layered bundle includes both stamps and dies with beautiful leaves. The stamp set also includes some really nice greetings. It’s really versatile, and allowed me to created all of these different cards. Which one do you like best?
I’ll talk about the keyhole cutout technique in the next section, and then I’ll highlight the other cards.
Keyhole Cutout Technique
I’ll briefly explain the technique shared in my video. First, prepare your card base with a mat on the front and a white mat on the inside. Line up the card in the corner of your Stamparatus stamping platform, and stamp the leaf image onto the front center of the card. Use the coordinating die to cut this image out with your die cutting machine.
Without changing the position of the stamp on your Stamparatus, open the card and stamp onto the inside of the card.
I used blending brushes to add color and make the leaf really pop out from the background.
I also used the Stamparatus to stamp the greeting. It allowed me to stamp several times to achieve a darker ink color than I would have gotten by stamping a single time.
Isn’t this technique fun? Try it today! Next we will look at my other projects made with the Stampin Up Artfully Layered bundle.
Artfully Layered Bundle Sample Projects
Here’s a fun and bright card using the large leaf stamps for both the focal point and the background.
This card has an embossed front and a few die cuts.
On this one, I used the leaf die cuts to create a delicate wreath. Isn’t it pretty?
Here is today’s keyhole cutout card.
I love this Easter card I created. This large leaf stamp looks like a palm branch, so it inspired me to make an Easter card. Can you see the distressed print in the background? I used one of the stamps in the set to create that look.
Last but not least, I created these cards using an amazing technique that I explain here.
There are so many ways to use this bundle – what ideas do you have in mind?
Demonstrator Council
I wanted to reflect some on my year serving on the Great Lakes Demonstrator Council with the other ladies participating in today’s blog hop. I applied for this opportunity because I wanted to 1. help guide Stampin Up programs 2. get to know other people in the Stampin Up community and 3. expand my opportunities with the company.
During the year, we worked on two main projects. The first was to test some programs related to Stampin Up’s new line of craft kits. The second was to come up with a project of our own to work on focused around the topic of ‘finding new customers.’ Our group decided to develop a training program for demonstrators to start online business and find customers online.
I’m so glad I had the opportunity to serve on Demo Council! I got to know the other amazing women on the council, plus our Stampin Up leader, who is the absolute best. As a result of being on council, I was invited to speak at Stampin Up’s BackStage conference earlier in the summer, and have had conversations with some other SU employees about various topics. I love feeling more a part of this company which I love so much, and being able to give back and help guide some of the things happening that will affect all demonstrators.
