Hi everyone, welcome to Day 1 of my 12 Days of Handmade Gift Ideas! I’m so excited about the projects I will be sharing. I had to make multiples of a few of them because I’m selfish and want to keep them for myself! I hope my posts over the next 12 days will give you some great ideas for how you can give your loved ones a handmade holiday. These items are all very inexpensive to make, but the thought behind them will be heartfelt. Ok, let’s get on to our project for Day 1 – a decorated treat jar!
This jar was really quick to make. I cut a strip of paper 4″ wide and 12″ long, and attached the scallop circle to the center, both prints from our Country Lane designer series paper pack. I rolled the paper up into a small circle around my hand, slid it into the jar, and let it go. It expanded and fit tight against the outside of the jar. Then I made the tag using our Label Me Pretty stamp set and Pretty Label punch. Some striped burlap ribbon made the perfect bow!
I plan to use one of our gusseted cellophane bags to hold some treats inside the jar. I’m thinking something like Chex mix or chocolate-covered pretzels. It would be great for cookies, too!
